Moscow State University, named after M. V. Lomonosov, was founded in 1755 and is one of the most prestigious universities not only in Russia but also in the whole world. The branch of Moscow State University, named after M. V. Lomonosov, in Yerevan, has been conducting educational activities in Armenia since 2015. Education at the branch follows Moscow State University's academic standards. The teaching staff of Moscow State University travel to Yerevan to deliver lectures and hold seminars on specialized subjects. The language of instruction is Russian. The curriculum includes studying the Armenian language, Armenian history, and foreign languages. Admission to the undergraduate program is carried out on a budgetary and contractual basis based on the results of two entrance exams: Russian language (essay) and a profile subject, according to six directions of preparation: ● Applied mathematics and computer science ● International relations ● Jurisprudence ● Journalism ● Linguistics ● Economy ● State and municipal management EGE results are not taken into account. For master's programs, admission is carried out in the following directions: ● International relations, profile: Global political processes and diplomacy ● Jurisprudence, profile: Public law ● Economy, profile: Economic and financial strategy Admission to the master's degree is conducted on a budgetary and contractual basis based on the results of one specialty exam. Upon completing studies at the MSU Branch, graduates receive a diploma from Moscow State University named after M. V. Lomonosov. The branch also hosts a preparatory department, offering free consultations before entrance exams. With the support of the "Tashir" Charitable Foundation, the branch operates a flexible system of discounts and scholarships for students with excellent academic performance and those from socially disadvantaged families. Since 2017, the Gymnasium named after A. G. Yeritsyan at the Branch of Moscow State University, named after M. V. Lomonosov, has been opened. Admission takes place in classes 7- 12.
