In 1964, the Ararat Industrial and Technological College was founded in Ararat in the building of the Ararat Cement and Slate Combine dormitory in order to train not only specialists for the ATSC-a, but also for other industries of Armenia. On February 4, 1982, by Order No. 2 of the City Council of Ararat, it was instructed to build a new academic building for the Ararat Industrial and Technological College type TP 232-1-101 / S for 540 students at the address Ararat, Khanjyan 67. In 1987, the staff of the Ararat College moved to a new building, where they still carry out the educational process. In 1999, the Ararat Industrial and Technological College was renamed the Ararat State College, and in 2002 the Ararat State College of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia. According to the order of the Minister of MONKS RA 1167-A/2 dated December 3, 2019, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia “Ararat State College“ was renamed into MONKS RA ”Ararat State College" A State Non-Profit Organization. Over the long years of its existence, Ararat State College has educated and produced numerous generations, many of whom have joined the ranks of the best enterprises and organizations. For 10 years now, college graduates with good and excellent academic performance have had the opportunity to successfully enter the leading universities of the Republic of Armenia without entrance exams in the relevant specialties for correspondence (or full-time) studies for the 2nd year - YSU, GUNH, YSPU, ANAU, APNU. The achievement of the educational sphere, of course, is the result of the dedicated work of specialists; for many years, honored teachers, representatives of various fields of science have been working at the college, thanks to whose caring work they provide a favorable educational environment, all educational tasks that are set for the educational institution are carried out.
